We finally cracked open the second of the beers we had purchased in the Netherlands at the Browerij de Molen, called Mooi & Meedogenloos. Unlike the Gajes & Geteisem, this one not only had enough carbonation but continued to blossom wildly for several minutes. We were forced to set the bottle into a bowl to save the precious beverage.

The inital pour was all foam, but it had a beautiful weight and color.

Once it settled out, we were rewarded with a rich, delicious brown ale, one well worth waiting for. It’s not available here in the states at this time, at least not that we’ve seen so far. A tasty treat but, sadly, the last of our drinkable souveners from the trip.

From now on, we’ll have to find our imported treasures at The Trappist.
