Following my last post about emergency readiness, I received a nice note from one of the authors of the survival cookbook Apocalypse Chow, which is now out of print but available in revised form as Vegan Unplugged: A Pantry Cuisine Cookbook and Survival Guide.

Even if you’re not vegan, you’ll benefit from having an emergency pantry and game plan that doesn’t involve fresh foods or meat. After all, you don’t want to eat the cat.
